Светит знакомый остро-о-ов -  
Это луна горит в небе морском.  
И к ней плыву стаей звезды-ы-ы.  
Это их дом.  
Где бы они не плыли  
Они помнят о нем -  
Они чувствуют свет  
Из его окон.

Если же вдруг тучи хмуры-и-е  
Вдруг затопят луну-у-У-у-У-у-У-у,  
Звезды разбегутся, но вскоре-е-е  
В печали, и скорби-и-и  
Поплывут все ко дну -  
Им не двинутся в путь -  
Одиночество, грусть  
Не дадут им уснуть.

Нечего мне вспоминать о былом!  
Это пустые слова. Вс"е - без толку-у!!  
Но если я позабыл этото дом,  
Я буду серым и одиноким как волк:

Где бы мой фрегат не курсиро-овал  
Какие бы штили в тиши, иль бури не знал 
(а-А-а-А-ал)  
Полярною звездою сияло  
Сознанье того, что там  
за горизонтом  
его любят и ждут,  
У него есть причал.  
И какой бы тяжелый час не настал  
Он найдет здесь покой, он найдет здесь 
приют.

Пусть я талантлив, живу хорошо,  
Пусть знаменит я в свои надцать лет. Но-

Если забыл я откуда пришел,  
Я доживу до конца, но исчезну

Это луна горит над моим окном  
И болью пронзаюсь я остро-о-ой  
Когда я смотрю на тебя,  
понимая, что я,  
словно эта звезда  
в бесконечной дали  
от огня и тепла.

A known to me island is glowing 
This is the moon, which shining in the ocean sky.
And a school of stars is floating towards it
   It is their home
   No matter where they are
   They remember about it - 
   They feel light
   from its windows


If suddently browning clouds 
flood the moon,
stars will feel astray, and soon
   will go to the bottom
   burdened with grief and sorrow.
   They won't be able to start a new trip    
   Being lonely and sad.

	No use in reminiscencing over past glories!
        For this is only words and displaying someone's vanity!
	However, if I forget my home,
	I'll be grey and lonely as a wolf: Oo-oo-oo!!


No matter where my fregate is cruising,
No matter what calm periods or tempests he encounts,
Like a polar star was always shining for him
   the knowledge/apprehension that somewhere 
   there behind the horizon    
   he is being loved and waited,         // Fregate is "he" in Russian
   there is a harbor for him
   and no matter how rough time becomes
   he will always find comfort there, he will find a shelter there.

	Let I be talented, live a wealthy life
	be famous in my N years. But !!
        If I forgot where I came from,
	I'll reach my end and vanish without a trace!!  Ooo-oo!!

An acquaintance island is glowing.
This is the moon, which is shining above my window.

   understanding that I'm 
   like this star
   infinitely far
   from berth and warmth.
