Nouse Features

The unique, patented technology uses advanced video recognition algorithms to map the movement of the user’s nose to the movement of a computer mouse device thereby allowing a user to operate a computer hands-free.

NouseCursor

The Nouse Cursor is similar to the standard mouse arrow. Using Nouse’s patented joystick technology, the user can manipulate the cursor on to any area of the screen.

The cursor can be customized in size, color, speed and countdown time. The cursor can even show the user’s face and use sound to enable/disable.
NouseClick

The click of the Nouse is done a simple motion. Once the timer has counted down to zero a ‘click’ is performed.

Once in click mode (i.e. countdown reaches zero), the user simply moves their nose either left, right, up or down to select the type of click they would like to execute.
NouseBoard

Nouse application provides the user with the ability to enter text without the need to use the standard keyboard. The “NouseBoard” is an on-screen configurable keyboard that works with Nouse application to allow a user to type hands-free.

Mouth Click

Nouse application can utilize the movement of the user’s mouth as a method of moving directly to click mode (i.e., skip countdowns).

This would allow the user to perform mouse clicks and to generally make Nouse activities faster and easier. A mouth click can be executed simply by having the user open their mouth.

Use Voice Commands

Nouse application provides a method for executing commands and mouse clicks using the user’s voice. Users can say commands and have them executed automatically.

When properly configured, voice commands can make mouse activities faster and easier to use. application is setup to execute (via voice) a predetermined set of commands. For example, a voice command can be used to execute a right click or to disable Nouse.

The user simply says “Right” for a right click or “Disable” to disable Nouse application.

Customizable User Settings

Nouse has over 40 settings that can be easily
modified to accommodate a user’s preference.

Users can change setting related to head range of
motion, visual ability, communication skills, method
of interaction with the computer and cognitive skill.

A user can make a change at any time and save the
changes to a user created setting file. The file will
then be automatically loaded the next time the user
starts the Nouse application.
